MAINTENANCE GUIDE FOR THE EAF-150 FAUCET

PROBLEM:
Faucet does not function
CAUSES:
A) Adhesive packaging label affixed over sensor eye.
B) "Permanent Off" activated
SOLUTIONS:
A) Remove adhesive label from sensor eye.
B) Press button on faucet throat one time

PROBLEM:
Faucet delivers water in an uncontrolled manner
CAUSES:
A) Faucet is defective.
SOLUTION:
A) Contact Equiparts, toll free, at 800-442-6622.

PROBLEM:
Faucet does not deliver any water when sensor is activated.
INDICATOR:
Solenoid valve produces an audible "CLICK".
CAUSES:
A) Water supply stops(s) are closed.
B) Water supply stop strainer(s) are clogged.
SOLUTIONS:
A) Open the Water Supply Stop(s) .
B) Clean water supply stop strainer(s). If strainers need to be replaced, call Equiparts at 800-442-6622.     
INDICATOR:
Solenoid valve does NOT produce an audible "CLICK".
CAUSES:
A) Battery low (EAF-150 models).
SOLUTIONS:
A) Replace battery. Order battery # 08747 from Equiparts at 800-442-6622.

PROBLEM:
Faucet delivers only a slow flow or dribble when sensor is activated
CAUSE:
A) Water supply stops(s) are partially closed.
B) Water supply stop strainer(s) are clogged.
C) Aerator is clogged.
D) Faucet is defective.
SOLUTIONS:
A) Completely open water supply stop(s).
B) Remove, clean, and reinstall water supply stop strainer(s). Replace strainer, if needed, by ordering # 80759 from Equiparts at 800-442-6622.
C) Remove, clean, and reinstall aerator. Replace aerator, if needed, by ordering # 80153 (2.2 gpm) or # 80757 (0.5 gpm) from Equiparts at 800-442-6622.
D) Replace solenoid. Order part # 58426 from Equiparts. Call 800-442-6622 for additional assistance or to place an order.

PROBLEM:
Faucet does not stop delivering water or continues to drip after user is no longer detected.
CAUSES:
A) Faucet is defective
SOLUTION:
A) Contact Equiparts at 800-442-6622

PROBLEM:
i.q. cliq doesn't function (-IC models only) .
CAUSES:
A) Button is defective
SOLUTION:
A) Replace with part # 58425. Call Equiparts at 800-442-6622 to order.

PROBLEM:
The water temperature is too hot or too cold on a faucet connected to hot and cold supply lines.
CAUSES:
A) Supply stops are not adjusted properly.
B) For models with integral mixing valve, mixing valve is set improperly for the water temperature desired.
SOLUTIONS:
A) Adjust supply stops, or get a # 54621 Thermostatic Mixing Valve to temper the water for the user. Call Equiparts at 800-442-6622 to order.
B) Rotate mixing valve handle clockwise to decrease water temperature or counterclockwise to increase water temperature.
