DISASSEMBLING THE OPTIMA PLUS
       

 
1. Turn off the water supply  
     
  2. Relieve pressure by using the override button. If your unit is not equipped with an override button, loosen the tailpiece nut (#8040.) A small amount of water will drip out, relieving pressure.  
 
 
 
 
   
3. Using a strap wrench, loosen the lock ring.

(Need a heavy duty strap wrench? Call us and order part # 34727.) 		 
   
 
   

 

4. Remove the cover and lock ring assembly (you should have one of the styles shown at left.) Remove the module and baseplate, and then remove the diaphragm assembly.

 
5. Print the order form , fill it out, and send it to Equiparts, along with the following parts:
  • Cover & Lock Ring Assembly
